Being Canuck 03:26
There goes another summer Quickly it got away Better make the best of these warm days That's the thing about being a Canadian We've got to take inclement weather as it comes We've got to take it as it comes And it doesn't stop at weather Look at our politics Even worse, our Prime Minsters' sons That's the thing about being a Canadian We've got to make decisions without pointing guns We've got to take it as it comes

As the city sleeps Stoplights melt into the street And the asphalt's heat drifts on and on and on As the city sleeps Shadows blend into concrete And the company I keep plays on and on and on As the city sleeps Drones of humming night machines Running steadily they go on and on and on As the city sleeps Compositions track offbeat And so the band repeats them on and on and on Not sure what to do But I'd follow you to Beech Avenue I'm not sure where we'll end up tonight But I'd follow you to Beech Avenue 322 As the city sleeps Chasin' that dragon down for keeps But it will never cease, it goes on and on and on And the minutes sigh As they slide on by my heavy eyes And I try to motivate the guys To keep rollin on and on Not sure what to do But I'd follow you to Beech Avenue I'm not sure where we'll end up tonight But I'd follow you to Beech Avenue 322

Your Love 02:54
Josie's on a vacation far away Come around and talk it over So many things that I wanna say You know I like my girls a little bit older I just wanna use your love tonight I don't wanna lose your love tonight I ain't got many friends left to talk to Nowhere to run when I'm in trouble You know I'd do anything for you Stay the night but keep it undercover I just wanna use your love tonight I don't wanna lose your love tonight Try to stop my hands from shaking But something in my mind's not making sense It's been a while since we were all alone I can't hide the way I'm feeling As you're leaving, please would you close the door? And don't forget what I told you Just 'cause you're right, that don't mean I'm wrong Another shoulder to cry upon I just wanna use your love tonight I don't wanna lose your love tonight

Time Out 04:20
And another half-focused day makes its way into the night And the minutes and hours race by; can't even try to pace my Pulsing chest Pleasure obsessed Battling nature Time for a time out! You've been a bad girl And suddenly feelin’ a sensation I can't sustain I’m tryin' so hard to hang on but losing everything I'm letting go Your flesh below It feels like heaven Time for a time out! You've been a bad girl

Every work day, wound up like an old toy My mania takes away the chance to enjoy Didn't want it to happen to me An inevitability I tried to avoid the plague but I have a price tag Like everybody else I want a car and a house filled with nice furniture Soon enough it's time to renovate Not my life choices but my real estate The vicious cycle ensnares me more Less and less time that's set aside for The things I love to do I can never get to Like everybody else I want to build my wealth I need security and health I want a car and a house filled with nice furniture Changing up my life, moving to the 'burbs At least four times the square footage is preferred A backyard and a couple of canines Maybe poolside but for sure with a clothesline Nuptials and kids then that's all there is Cuz, like everybody else I want to build my wealth I need security and health I want a car and a house filled with nice furniture

So happy to see you, as time pushes ahead Pour yourself a drink and unwind a little bit I can guarantee you happiness instead Pour yourself a drink and unwind a little bit I don't have the answers to the miracle of life But I know that it all changes after I get into 4 pints Then I have all the answers At least I'll make a go of it So pour yourself a drink and unwind a little bit
